The Neighbourhood
Life is very convenient here
Sojourn Co-op is perfectly situated at Nelson and Denman in Vancouver's vibrant West End, just steps from English Bay and Stanley Park. While there's no direct Skytrain, buses 5, 6, and 23 are nearby, along with MODO car-share options. The neighbourhood has it all—restaurants, bars, banks, a library, community centre, pool, and playgrounds, all within walking distance! However, as a downtown spot, there is noise from the nearby fire station, traffic, and garbage trucks. It’s a bustling area, especially in summer, so if you prefer a quieter environment, this might not be the best fit.

Coal Harbour Community Centre: similar offerings as West End.

There are plenty of grocery options in the neighbourhood. You'll find three large chains: No Frills inside Denman Place Mall, Safeway at Denman and Robson, and Whole Foods. There are also small independent grocers and fruit/vegetable vendors. In the summer, the closest Farmers' Market operates on Saturdays on Comox Street.

Life is very convenient here, with many amenities within walking distance. Denman Place Mall may be old, but it houses No Frills, Dollarama, UPS, Shoppers Drug Mart, a Canada Post office, a dentist, and other small vendors. The neighbourhood also offers plenty of restaurants, independent coffee shops, larger chains, and a few small clothing boutiques. For bigger-name fashion brands, Robson Street at Burrard is the nearest option with more extensive fashion shopping choices.
